Northumberland Arms
Welcome to The Northumberland Arms in Bloomsbury.
About Us
From literally Humble beginnings (when, in 1825, Mr Humble became the first registered resident of this address), this pub rose to become promoted in 1897 as ‘The Cornerstone of Fitzrovia – a proper pub with proper grub and a nice drop of ale’ and enjoyed the distinction of being the site of Karl Marx’s arrest for smashing a street lamp during a fight on Tottenham Court Road.
If you're looking for a local in the heart of the city where you can escape the bustling streets and shoppers of London's Tottenham Court Road then look no further.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
Food & Drink
The Cheers theme said it best, "Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came" and we know that's exactly who we are at Northumberland Arms!
Why not come on it and join our little community? Our daily menu changes with the seasons and is designed to include something for everyone. We source our ingredients locally where possible with produce supplied by Lovejoys of Melksham and Larkhall butchers.
